About me

My passion for jewellery started at a young age when I bought my first ‘diamond’ ring from Woolworths with my very own pocket money.
Some years later I found myself studying jewellery making at Epsom School of Art, before gaining a Masters degree from the Royal College of Art in London.

On graduating I set up a workshop in the converted coal cellar of my home in Surrey, and exhibited widely, including shows such as Chelsea Craft Fair and Goldsmiths Fair. I also undertook a variety of private commissions. At the same time I started teaching adult education evening classes, igniting a lifetime’s enthusiasm for teaching, which continues to this day.

Having also spent a number of years running a craft gallery, I have recently realised a long time ambition, by creating a new, purpose-built workshop. The studio is fully equipped with enough bench space for up to six students, enabling me to provide personalised tuition and guidance within a small group setting.

The workshop sessions cater for anyone who has ever aspired to create their own jewellery – from basic techniques for complete beginners to working with silver, gold and semi-precious stones, beading and up-cycling old, unloved jewellery.

If you share my passion for jewellery making, or think you’d just like to have a go at making your own jewellery, then why not come along to my workshop and give it a try?
